In the not so distant past most Universities had a workshop or engineering department that provided supported to the labs on campus. They could repair, maintain and configure existing lab equipment, or even build bespoke equipment completely from scratch. Their skills probably ranged electronics to woodworking, metalworking and even glass blowing. The best part though, was that they were able to understand the details of the experiments you were trying to run and help you build something that got you the data you needed.
We can’t replace aall of these capabilities (at least not yet!) but we want to continue with that spirit. We want to understand the details of what you need your equipment to do and make the small part we know well, custom cables, work seamlessly.

We’ll be in touch within 24 hours of receiving your enquiry to start the process of understanding your needs. Once we fully understand your needs the time the build process takes is highly dependent on whether or not we have all the parts we need. We keep stock of a range of common connectors and parts but there are thousands of different connectors out there. If we have all the parts we need we’ll get your cable on its way within a few days, if we’re waiting on parts we’ll be transaparent with you on the lead times our suppliers give us.
We quote each job individually as there is large variability in complexity and parts cost for different cables. Our cables are all hand made one at a time so they won't be as cheap as a mass produced cable from a retail electronics store. However, we aim to provide fair pricing and can provide a cost breakdown if needed.
We are physically based in Sydney, Australia but aim to run as a purely online service. We are currently focussed on serving customers in Australia but are open to doing our best to help overseas scientists as well.
